Cars Based on Shape of Boxfish

When I first saw an program on television sponsored by a particular car company I though it was a joke. The car pictured by the sponsor was a really box-like thing. I just thought it didn’t look like the aerodynamic motors we are so used to seeing in new cars. It’s only when I did some research that I saw the car  was actually based on the shape of a fish. The fish is the Boxfish. Mercedes Benz have also produced a car which is a similar shape to this fish. It is amazing, because the boxfish is square-shaped. Yet, when swimming, it can cover a distance of up to six times its body length each second. So, nature has taught car manufacturers how to develop a sturdy, yet aerodynamic vehicle.
