Are Hot Water Heater Prices Fair?
My dad has been a plumber for over thirty years but he couldn’t tell me whether or not he felt that today’s hot water heater prices are fair for what you get. Thirty years ago, hot water heaters were made very well. Today, they are made less well. He has told me that much. However, the cost of the materials that are used to create water heaters have gone up tremendously. The retail costs of the applicances have not increased in proportion to the material costs. Therefore, they may be fair. However, since the machines do not last as long as they used to, they may not be.
