Anyway, it’s really cool to kind of get back into it a little bit. Sharon and I sat out on the deck and listened to new tunes and held hands and looked at the moon. We even danced a little bit to one of the slow songs.
I went to a wedding today, and was surprised to find out that there was a wedding magician there. I have never been to a wedding with one, but I thought it was a great idea. It just seemed like the perfect thing to keep all the guests smiling while there were other things that the bride and groom needed to do. I know that usually, there is someone singing, but that isn’t always something that keeps people excited. They usually get bored, depending on the kind of music the band is playing. Kathleen and I are finally getting married. We’re really excited. Haven’t set the date yet, but I gave her the ring last night.
You won’t believe how I proposed. I did an online video and sent it to her in an email. Then I just waited. She has a habit of not checking her mail, and I always kid her about that, so I knew it would be a few days before she got it. Last night after supper she was drinking a glass of Merlot and booted up her computer. I just stayed in the background, reading the paper until she got to the part where I proposed. By then I’d snuck up behind her with the ring.
I wish I’d had a camera to catch the look on her face. Priceless!
