Laser Drilling for Specialized Materials
Many specialized materials, such as titanium, platinum, and super alloys, are extremely costly. Therefore, manufacturers don’t want these materials wasted with flawed manufacturing. This is why the fact that laser drilling can be used for these materials is so important - there simply are no flaws. Laser drilling is also used for specialized holes. In the manufacturing of today, not all holes are round. In fact, holes can be created in quite complicated geometric shapes, and this is almost always accomplished with the use of laser drilling. Laser drilling is also important when it comes to producing a high quota of products in a short period of time, as it is much faster than traditional drilling methods.
