The Aptera Car Surprises Many
Last year many auto bloggers were amazed when they saw the concept of the Aptera Car released. Now fast forward just over 16 months and we have a vehicle, able to achieve close to 300 miles per gallon of gasoline ready to be shipped to retail outlets in California sometime by the end of this year, 2009.
The Aptera is no longer a concept, but instead a reality. The car which looks like a spaceship and motorcycle combined is likely going to give the Green auto industry a shot in the arm. The aerodynamic body, and fuel efficient battery system makes the car a prize.
